Flower Arrangements

I thought I would make a post on the flower arrangements I have currently made, and made in the past. I make so many of them for people and like to take photos of them since it takes a lot of time and thought into putting them together. This first one I did with beautiful white poppies, definitely one of my favorites.

I believe my camera was getting serviced at the time I completed this arrangement so the photos may be blurry because it was taken from my phone.

I think these were probably the most beautiful artificial poppies I have ever worked with, the pictures definitely don't do them justice.

This next arrangement was made for a client's bedroom, and the container was one that she had and wanted to put in good use.

I love adding a sheet of moss and having it exposed in some of my arrangements, it gives it a garden like feeling.

Although I love pastel colors, I have to say that this arrangement's colors were such a change of pace and one of my favorites. The client wanted a lot of contrast, and for it to look wildflower like and not too full, so viola!

I hope you enjoyed viewing some of my creations just as much as I enjoyed making them. Well, I'm off to creating something new! Have a great day everyone!

Wildflower Basket

I just finished a dainty little wildflower filled basket that could be hung on your door, or over your dining chair.

I love hanging it over the chair. It's great if your hosting a garden party, or any kind of party. Plus it would be great to offer the arrangement as a favor for your guests .

I chose to fill this fun basket with pastel colors.

I hope you enjoyed this little basket as much as I do. It always puts a smile on my face.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Tulips

Every time my mother-in-law comes over she always greets me with beautiful flowers. Whether they're roses, delphinium, or tulips, each one is sure enough to make me smile. Today she brought these beautiful pink tulips that I just couldn't resist taking photos of.

Although peonies are my favorite flowers, and roses of course come in second on my list, tulips are definitely on my list of being a "fun" flower. I love how they have the habit of arching around the vase. So beautiful.

I hope you enjoyed viewing these beauties. I can't wait to share with you my upcoming completed floral arrangements and wreaths. For now I am off to my 13 month old Sarah who seems to be crawling a little too quickly these days.

Pretty Wreath

This past week has been abnormally warm, with some record breaking temperatures. I'm definitely not complaining because I love me some warm weather. However, I have been keeping busy with a number of projects. First, I made this beautiful wreath for Michele at Michele's Cottage Gifts in Plantsville, CT.

The wreath was filled with pink peonies, dried statice, and beautiful greens that helped make it lush and garden-like. I must say the dried statice isn't the most fun working with, I think my fingers were pricked way too many times, ouch!

I also added this beautiful green netted ribbon. I love intertwining ribbon in a number of my designs.

After the wreath was complete, I was off to tackle a new project, the cabinet in my bathroom.

It was painted cream, however I felt it needed a change, so off I went to get paint samples. I will create a post just focusing on my cabinet project. But one thing I will tell you is I'm thinking of making it gray and adding some appliques.
Well I'm off to tackle my project, happy weekend everyone!

Bathroom Finds

I went to Marshalls this past weekend and found some beautiful bath rugs. They are so shabby chic. One is very similar to one that Rachel Ashwell has at Target. I was thrilled to find these pieces, and did not hesitate at all to put them in my shopping cart.

I love the crochet edging. It's little details like this that make me fall in love. Plus this rug came in a sage color as well, I think I may have to stop there and snatch it, if nobody has already.

I also had this beautiful planter just sitting around in my apartment and I didn't want to hide it because it is quite lovely. So this is what I did with it.

I have so many towels, and some of them have the prettiest of details, like these with the ruffles. I didn't want to hide them, it would be a shame to.

It's funny how when you begin to rearrange things in your home how you can conjure up so many ideas on how to re-use items in different ways. This urn was just sitting around waiting for spring, but now it doesn't have to because it's gotten a new use.
Hope you all have a great day!
